If you could go anywhere, right now, where would you go?
I'd go to Maine. Teach Zoe how to find hermit crabs on the beach. Eat a lobster roll. Watch the moonlight on the waves breaking against the jetty. Go deep into the woods to look for Ladyslippers. (lather ourselves in bugspray) Watch for moose. Catch frogs in the pond.

Sounds devine and it is so pretty there, ahhhhhhhhhhh. Okay back to reality, thanks for the day dream

I saw your comment on Mainelife's blog and wanted to let you know that I (also 36) relocated my husband (& 3 kids) to Maine 2 years ago and we are sooooo glad we did. My husband (born and raised in PA) describes Maine as the only place he ever wants to live. We continue to pinch ourselves every morning. It was such a great move for our family.
And the winters...cold is cold. Whether it's 30 (PA) or 20 (ME), you still need to bundle up. The difference in winters is that Mainers are outside enjoying the snow.
Good luck with your decision!

Hey Laura-
Thanks for the comment on my blog. I'm happy to find your's in return. I moved to Maine from Cincinnati in 2002, and I find the winters in Maine much more bearable than in Southern Ohio.
Here we have a big snowstorm and the next day the sky is blue and beautiful and you can ski or snowshoe. It's cold, but the cold isn't bone-chilling damp and gray like it was in Cincinnati.
God willing, I'll never live anyplace else in my life. I love it here and feel so lucky to be able to live and work here. I'm Ohio born and raised, but Maine is home.
